Our Team
Organizational Structure
Carr & Associates realized a long time ago that working smarter and leveraging technology was a far better way to serve clients than to build up human capital and "throw bodies at them". Carr & Associates has no subsidiaries and we do not wish to be a 200 office consulting practice. Quite frankly, with internet, technological advances, and the ease of world-wide travel, we see little need to design our practice that way. In consulting, practice size typically corresponds to greater administrative and overhead costs (and does not necessarily mean better answers). And in large consulting firms, these costs are typically passed on to clients -- we would prefer to do good work for a fair price - and to use our psychologists for that which they were trained - namely, to conduct in-depth assessment processes that lead to greater client satisfaction and performance.
Consulting Team
The professionals at Carr & Associates have formal training in the disciplines of industrial/organizational psychology, statistics, business administration, and survey research. All staff members are certified and/or licensed at the appropriate level in compliance with applicable state regulatory agencies - an additional and important step most psychologists and most consulting firms forgo, but goes virtually unregulated and unpunished. Carr and individuals associated with the Firm are members of the American Psychological Association, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the Society for Human Resource Management. The Firm subscribes to the published ethical standards of these organizations as they apply to the professional practice of management consulting.
Our consulting team is experienced in project management and the technical skills of job analysis, development and implementation of selection systems, statistical analysis, technical integration, and validation. We also are trained in leadership development, succession planning, and executive coaching. We have all worked with Fortune 100 organizations and small companies of less than 10 people. We have all worked with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. We have all completed projects for public and private organizations and have managed projects of all sizes and scope. We believe in writing proposals and documenting our work. When you ask us for our opinion, you will get it. So, please give us a chance to write you a proposal and describe how we can help your organization - at the very least, you will get an objective opinion concerning how to address your organization's concerns and answer your human questions.
Team Approach
At Carr and Associates, we believe in a team approach - we believe that sharing information about projects, hypothesized outcomes, and potential roadblocks will lead to greater success and client satisfaction. In this regard, our organization's main constituents will be familiar with your project, all will provide input as to best practices to make the project work, but some of them will have a more prevalent role than others. We present short bios on each project team member below to better understand how our human resources will be used in your organization. This team will work closely with your organization to carry out an efficient and effective project that is sensitive to your operational requirements.
